A lighting console made by ETC, available in five versions:

  • Express 24/48 (24 double or 48 single preset operation, 96 channels)
  • Express 48/96 (48 double or 96 single preset operation, 192 channels) - pictured above.
  • Express 72/144 (72 double or 144 single preset operation, 240 channels)
  • Express 125 (No presets, 125 channels)
  • Express 250 (No presets, 250 channels)

The Express is ideal for smaller theatres, particularly schools. It is ideal for teaching as the preset faders allow hands-on control, the submasters provide basic show functions, and the memory stack and keypad control provides for more advanced users. Although there is limited functionality for moving lights, it can be done easily enough. IMHO the trackpad is pretty useless, however, and a roller-fader would have been preferable. Still, a great desk.
