D54

A proprietary analogue multiplexed signal used for controlling dimmers. Invented by Strand Lighting.

Similar in concept to DMX, but whereas DMX is a digital multiplex signal, D54 as above is analogue. Weird things happen with D54 if the dimmers (or DEMUX) supply earth is not the same as the lighting desk earth.
