> Bulgin (Connector)

For the company see Bulgin Components, for other uses see the disambiguation page.

The name Bulgin is used colloquially in technical theatre to refer to certain designs of connector, produced by a company called Bulgin Components:

8 pin mains connectors

These are common on low-end disco lighting controllers and normally carry three or four channels of mains signal. There is a safety hazard associated with older uses of these connectors as the same connector was used for both inputs and outputs. However a cable socket and panel plug are now available, removing this risk on equipment that uses them.

Pyrotechnics

These connectors are used by Le Maitre on their popular Pyroflash pyrotechnic system.
