I need somebody to help me... I want to buy this power amplifier from Thomann store but I know nothing about this good... I can`t find any web site of that company etc..
It`s a quite cheap product so I`m interested in it...

Well, if it is as good as the pile of 2500s I have had for about 10 months, it should be fine. It's a bit chunkier - 3U rather than 2U, although the damn big fans at the rear should shift some decent amounts of air. Oddly, mains lead is captive - which isn't a problem. Most of the own brand T-Amps are chinese sourced, but build quality on mine (I've got two different types) is very high. Again, I can only speak about the supplier, but Thomann do seem to select reliable products to brand as their own. Mine have been run over the top, shorted accidentally and we did a test for one blue room member who wanted to biamp them earlier in the year.
Price for price - I would not have any problems with ordering one. The 2500s I have are even cheaper.

Hi there
I've not had any experience with the Proline series but I have five of the TA series.
I've had experiences good and bad. The amps sound good, and I've never managed to get them as hot as my outboard rack, but hte build quality inside isn't fantastic and the bridge rectifiers actually broke off the PCB on one amp, and then did it again one week after repair. All credit to Thomann though they are both replacing the amp and paying for the repair! Aparently similar to a crest design inside.

I don't know Rob, the chap at Wigwam who repaired mine said it was like an old crest design if that helps?

HI Rob
Just seen this post. I have just bought the proline 3000 and it's a big amp and heavy!!
Just a slight prob the amp rack is two small for the amp.
It seems the proline 3000 is longer than the other amps I have!!
Where do I get a rack?
Cheers

Hi Bob.
That is a big amp all round isn't it. The thomann website is a little unclear which dimension is which. But we know 482mm is around 19inches so we'll assume that is the width to fit in the rack, that leaves 460mm as the depth. You'd be right in saying this wont fit in most standard racks. the larger of which is 450mm. Whilst the amp may fit in with the doors on you wont be able to leave the connections in place.
Whilst I'm on the thomann website I'll link you to
http://www.thomann.de/gb/thon_rack_10he_live_50_rollen.htm which is a 10u 500mm deep rack on wheels they do there. I have quite a few flight cases from there, the cheaper ones are very good value for money and the more expensive pro grade ones I also find to be very good quality.
this particular one is 10u, so it depends if you have other amplifiers you need to go into the rack with it. In comparison to what you have spent on an amplifier it is quite an expensive rack but without looking on the used market I doubt you'll find one cheaper.
http://www.spider-engineering.co.uk/ will be able to sort one out for you. maybe custom built to the height you want it, but this may work out even more expensive.
You have probably done alot of people on the Blue room a favour by bringing up the subject. it is very unusual to find an amp like this to be that deep so anyone thinking of purchasing can now look at their rack and see whether it will fit.
Hope that Helps.

HI Rob
Thanks for that, Thing is I got the amp + T- amp 1015 + Rack as a 'bundle'
So I think I can hassle thoman a bit as regards you assume a bundle will all work together!
Had no reply yet.
I was only going to rack that one amp with a xover.
What do you have that will handle it?
Also what is the address of the other site we talk on?
UKslc I think, I move pc's and installed Ubuntu so no bookmarks yet!!
Cheers

PM Sent.
If you got the items as a package then they should work together, not sure about a "bundle" there is a slight difference.
it does surprise me though as Thomann tend to be very good with things like that.
You will get a reply from them it make take a day or so, they're a very big company with alot of customers, I think I'm right in saying nearly all satisfied.
My FOH Amp rack is 500mm deep, I use the powersoft DIGAM 7000s' which are deeper still but only 1u high. That is why I am surprised at your amplifiers depth, you can understand with a 1u amp like mine, especially at 3500watts per channel but a 3u Amp should not need to be overly deep.
I'm sure Thomann will be happy to help you out with this matter,
Do tell us how you go on.

Hi Rob
Just got a mail from them saying I can send the item back but can't claim the cost (?)
I'd rather keep the case as I can use it with the Behringer amps.
I'm trying to get a discount of them for the bigger one, or get yours. I've PM'd you on this.
Cheers

HI Rob
That spider-enginering is looking very good.
I would much rather use a uk Co for this stuff.
May have to just get one for this amp!
Cheers

Bob, a quick word of advice. Theres not normally a need to quote the entire post and the one before it and the one before that in your reply. If nothing else it makes the page 4miles long for 4 posts

Good look with finding a case, they'll be able to make one just the size you need and also do a few used cases so do have a good look around their site
