Full Version: West Yorks Amp repair?
Blue Room technical forum > Technical > Sound

It appears that my usual repairer is no longer operating. Can anyone recommend someone who is reliable and knowledgeable in West Yorkshire. Preferably Halifax, Huddersfield or Bradford but I'll travel for good service. It's valve guitar amps and preamps mainly that need attention.
PM if you prefer.
Thanks in advance.

I don't know if they do repairs in house but TMC might be able to help/recommend someone.

I was looking pretty hard on the net to find some guitar amp menders in the Huddersfield area, and didn't come up with much except this thread. I though it'd be a service to drop a couple more links at the top.
Just had a tube amp serviced by Max at http://www.maxsamprepairs.co.uk/ and he did a nice job. Quite cheap too.
If you've got anything weird or wonderful give John at TAS a bell. I had a friend who took his Diezel VH4 to him and he did a great job with it.

Hope this is of some use.
John

so it is, I never looked at the date of the OP, just the last reply!

no-doubt the amp is fixed, or dead by now!

Hehe, I love it when a new member searches BR and comes up with this!
I did it when I joined, I think I replied to an older post than this...

At least he was trying to help...... biggrin.gif
