Do any of you know the voltages from the transformer in the Soundtracs Solo series power supplies- I have one, and am in the process of a re-build, but there seems to have been a major meltdown with the txformer... I know the DC voltage rails need to be + and - 17 volts, and +52 volts for the phantom from looking at the pcb's, but I don't have the faintest clue what kind of current would be needed.

What rating is the original transformer? Can you see the rating on it?
Have you looked in the manual? When I had to replace an A&H Mixwizard transformer recently, there were max secondary currents listed in there.

I don't have the original manual.... I have been googling it, but the cheapest I could find it, it was £10, which seems steep for only a few pages, but it seems I'll have to bite the bullet, and buy one. Thanks anyway.

most manuals are available as pdfs from the manufacturers - and even if not, you can probably e-mail them for help. Or, for that matter, for a new transformer.

He has serviced my Soundtracs console, and is extremely helpful.
He also has probably the only store of bits and pieces for soundtracs
analog consoles anywhere.
Hope this helps,

Colin.
