For our school production of Hairspray, we are hiring some Martin Macs (either 575s, or 500s), some LED pars, a hazer, and some other bits and bobs. We are getting a Zero-88 Jester ML48 to control all the new stuff and the 48 channel dimming rack we already own.
I have downloaded the Phantom Jester program, mainly to get familiar with the desk, and have read the instruction manual. My only question is if I wanted the LED pars to be fading between colours, with the movers doing one of the Fig-8 programs, would I have to program the LEDs to one chase sequence, with the movers untagged and then program the movers to a different memory, with the LEDs untagged, and then set them off separately? Is there any way of combining these 2 effects into 1 memory, to make it easier to trigger and program?
Also, if anyone has any tips with using this desk they would be much appreciated, as I am a little nervous about using an unfamiliar desk, with unfamiliar lights for a production as big as this!
Thanks,
Charlie
