Hi BR,

I have been asked by a student at the school I tech for, if there is anywhere online(ideally)/book he can read to go through the ideas/methods of Live sound setup he has been taught as part of the BTEC Music Technology course he does.

Does anyone know of any such websites that give a good overview, ideally with specific breakdowns of equipment and their uses or even a book that I can direct him too?

Thanks in advance :-)

Is this to go through things he has already been taught, or things he will be taught?

I ask because there are many different ways of doing the job and it's important to know so as not to confuse people by throwing them in at a position where they were years ago OR throwing them in at the deep end so to speak.

I was just reading through the post and the very same reply came into my head, Johnny beat me though!!
The lovely people at Soundcraft send me out multiple copies of this booklet that I have distributed to my students each year. Goes into a good amount of detail for most / if not all aspects of the BTEC Live sound module...
