Is it possible to join Prolyte H30V and X30V truss?
They both use the same connectors and have the same center measurements between struts, the only difference I can find is the H30V is 2mm wall and the X30V is 3mm wall.
I can't find anything on the Prolyte site that says yay or nay.
Obviously any load calcs will have to be done based on the lower SWL of the H30V
Cheers

Probably worth asking Prolyte, truss manufacturers tend to be very helpful in these matters.
Its also worth getting their response in an email, so you have proof if it does all go wrong

As Jon say contact Prolyte, they've always been prompt and concise when I've asked them questions regarding unusual situations. Whilst it is physically possible to connect the two type I suspect the mechanics of mixing the two types of truss are a little more complex than just using the lowest SWL but I could be wrong. Also it's the H series which is stronger than the X.

Yes, the H type and X type is compatible (sp)
The H is a much thicker wall and a LOT heavier per length. I can lift the end of a 20m span of X30V I can't event begin to lift the H30V.
I am not sure how this would effect the calcs, as taking the lower SWL from the chart wouldn't be strictly correct as some of the self weight of the truss would be heavier.
I can't really see where you would mix the two types of truss unless you need to bridge a gap or just didn't have enough of one type. However when using box corners with X30V these are only available in H30 which makes them very heavy compared with the truss lengths. A 4 way box corner weighs about as much as a 4m length of truss, these corners can soon push you overweight in small vehicles!!!
