still slighting confused about the whole matching ohms/resistance in regards to speakers and amplifiers and what whats the point of it etc??

try placing a screwdriver across the binding posts of your amp. its a bit like putting one across a car battery, but its more damaging to the amp than the battery. thats why we dont wire too many speakers in parallel with an amp.
be sure to call it impedance, and not resistance though. impedance is resistance plus taking into account capacitance and inductance (known as reactance). different speakers present different loads to an amp, and how you wire speakers up (in parallel/series) changes this.
EDIT: actually, dont try placing a screwdriver across your amp. I'm just speaking rhetorically.
