It looks like canford stock the optogate product line. Not sure if these are the exact ones you saw at but they do the same job. Been meaning to give one of these a go at some point and even toyed with the idea of using a pressure sensitive mat in front of the mic on the floor linked to a signal generator linked to the side chain of a gate,

If only I had the time to try such things out………………….. Off to buy a load of resistors and capacitors to change the crossover point on my BSS FDS-360, 250hz is a bit high for my liking!

ohh forgot the link!

The guy I talked to did mention Canford but I think he was trying to say they stocked a similar product. His english was very bad, I had trouble understanding him.

The pricelist they showed me said 80Euro and I think he said I could order direct from him in Germany, although I'd like to try one for myself before buying really, hence looking for a UK supplier.

80Euro seemed like a bargain.

I have suffered the same thing on shows and built myself a simple a-b opto linked to a light box that sits on the ops desk, dead cheap and effective. It still gets an occasional outing in some of the larger venues!
