Having just acquired a Q131 eq. I need to use the balanced o/p. Presumably, I use the tip and ring with the sleeve as the screen (- the I/p and o/p are 1/4" jack plugs). Can anyone confirm this?

Yep.

The tip is hot or +, the ring is cold or -, and the sleeve is shield or ground.
