Hi Folks , I am thinking about changing my martin audio w3ps and amp for a pair of eaw nt56 or 59,
its going to cost quite a bit and I cant demo them first, so I am wondering if anyone has used them
and what they are like ? From the reviews on the net they are the best thing since sliced bread
but I guess there can be vested interests there too. Also if anyone has any suggestions of cheaper alternatives
that would be great too, thanks in advance, Robin.

Hi Rob, I do like them , but they are very heavy, and the nt 59s are lighter , even with the onboard amp,
also I am going to be using a macbook pro and apple mainstage as my main mixer now , so powered speakers
would eliminate the need for a rack , and seriously cut down on weight and space, Robin

Hi
If you decide to go for the nt's have you thought about getting them shipped over from America?
They are £3.5k each on dv whereas I reckon you could get them for not much over that for a pair
shipped from the states.
I may well end up going for a pair of the nt26's myself at some stage.I've not heard them but have a pair of jfx290's and I absolutely love the clarity of them.
