Full Version: DBX Driveware "Save Device" issue

Hi everyone

So I'm trying to program a Driverack 260 with the Driveware software. I've just programmed and "stored" 3 configurations in a virtual device (I'm working offline at the minute). I've told Driveware to "Save Device" and given a file path/name to save to. I've closed the program. I've just come back and reopened the program and the file, only to find that only one of the presets has been saved. Worse, reloading from the available patches in the same file reverts the unit to factory defaults - complete with original settings and patch names.

I'm happy to expand more on previous similar experience if needed. I'm posting here as my needs have expanded from rather more than one program per box. I'd rather keep a single "device" archive file for each of my two boxes that contains everything - I really don't want to have to "import" each program by hand! This behaviour is 100% repeatable when working offline or with physical hardware, and it's totally counter-intuitive.

Am I doing something wrong, or is the software really that bad?

Just wanted to post an update after having watched the DBX online Flash tutorial, in case this comes up in a search that might help anyone else.

The issue I describe is a known function of the DriveWare software.

For reference:

"Save Device" saves the currently active program, along with the device name and security settings.
"Export Program" saves the currently active program only.

This seems counter-intuitive to my way of thinking at least - but at least we now have an answer.
