Er, It's kind of in the thread title isn't it, but where can I get a hold of one, how much will it skin me, and is it worth getting? I would quite like control of my amps controllers at FOH as I'm FOH and systems engineer most times.

Also, I have a mixture of P1200 and D12 amps. Can I use one interface for both models just linked through?

cheers.

for our P1200A, epac and A1 amps we use D&B Rib and Rope (not sure if it works with the d12)

Very much doubt you will find a system on the used market, may sell one of ours for the right price though.

What's the right price?

You can remote control D12/D6 and EPAC amps using the d&b R1 software which is a free download from the d&b website... all you need to buy is the interface - either the 'official' R60 ethernet interface, or the unofficial Peak USB CAN interface (google it) - much cheaper and just as effective. Then all you need to do is connect together all your amps using some cheap CAT5, make some terminators... and roberts your mothers brother. Well worth doing if you have a complex system to set up.

If your feeling particularly clever, you can set up wireless access points with your R60 interface and remote control your system from a wireless enabled laptop - very handy if your working in a big venue.

Can't say for the analogue amps - nothing availiable that I'm aware of.

Dan.

Am I right in thinking it would be around 80 quid for the Peak Can to USB? I had a quick look on the web just there. If so, I doubt I'll bother. It's not too much hassle to go into the amp's DSP manaully. If it was a 50 quid thing I would've given it a shot.
Pity there isn't a way of just hooking up to the system with just a standard network connection, or RS232 connection. Guess it's another way of making a bit of cash.

To answer your questions:
I am not sure how much the deivice costs in the UK and Yes, the remote network is an important part of the d&b system. Although you can setup your system on the amplifiers, this should only be used for small setups. Take some time to find out about R1 before you decide. With the new features added to the latest version released on Monday, you now have Dolby Lake EQ functionality in addition to the monitoring and live control. This has nothing to do with it being 50 quid or 80 quid!

r60 is about £500
