busted_cop.gif Firstly welcome to the Blue Room. Can I just warn you that if you use txt spk around here, and don't try to write in "proper" English, you won't get as many helpful replies as you might hope for.

OK, that's out of the way. It sounds like you might have a bit of confusion going on. Try drawing what you need to achieve. Is it one stereo and two mono jacks? Have you connected the screen in all three plug to the sleeve?

All the youngsters seem to talk like that at the moment Andrew!
Don't ask me, my daughter texts from my phone all the time, it may as well be in urdu for all that I can understand of it!
(are we getting old or what?)

To the Op, what cable have you used?
It sounds to me that you are talking about a guitar cable?
For any audio application you are better off buying good quality connectors and cable if you make your own, otherwise just buy one.

John Denim.

Ps, can I use busted_cop.gif just 'cos I like it?!

Check the strain relief grip. It's possible for the metalwork to break through the cable and create a short.
