Hello
I am considering purchasing some JBL jrx 125's, however I have found out that there are mixed views on the drivers used in cheaper jbl products. Can anybody enlighten me?

Hi

I installed a bar in October last year and they had 4 of the 125's that had been supplied a year or so earlier , we simply re fitted them as they were still going strong and to date still are.

and some of the dj's they have had haven't exactly been gentle with them!!! laugh.gif

I have 8x JRX125 as part of my hire stock. They are used almost daily, without problems mostly with live rock bands. Originally, they were branded SF series, but were renamed to the JRX series (I think because of copyright infringement) I bought four in 2003, and another four in 2005, The latter were of lower build quality, the front grille is made from thinner steel, but overall, no problem. The horn is protected, and for me, so far, no blown drivers, and they sound pretty good too. ( they are powered by QSC PLX1602's).

Small pet hates I do have with these cabinets, is the fact they only have a single speakon connector. (and a jack socket),
The weight is 42kg, which makes them awkward for upstairs get-ins, and they're carpet covered, which gets tatty over time.
