Full Version: Velcro for speaker foam

Hi all,

I have some new speakers which are currently protected by foam covered grills. The trouble is that the foam keeps coming off the grills. They were originally applied to the grills with a spray glue I have since tried Evo and some more spray glue but they still peel off after a few weeks. I know that there are various types of Velcro. Any idea where I can buy the industrial type hooks from? Has any one had experience of covering the grills with material like on the Turbosound Floodlight? What in the long term is the best option?

Many Thanks

I have some HKs and the foam is tucked behind the metal grills then screwed down to the cab. IF you leave enough slack at the top and bottm of the foam to you can get some screws in and secure is that way.. It might work

You can get rolls of the hook and loops, with self-adhesive backing, from CPC, RS and all the usual suspects.

Have tried some industrial velcro hooks on the grills which seems to work fine.

Thanks
