Has anyone done this? I have Report Education and though hey I would be able to up grade to design education for around £200. I followed all the steps on the website however it said the price for a report education to design education upgrade is £519 which is more than design education full price costs from AC Lighting surly it should be half the £519 as this must be the full price they are charging. I can’t seem to find anywhere on the upgrading bit about how to order a catch-up half price subscription, the upgrades section of the site says read this page on catch-up which then tells you to go back to the previous page fill in you serial number and order to receive you half price upgrade yet it doesn’t (surly £519 is wrong for a educational report to educational design half price upgrade otherwise I am better of buying a design educational dongle at full price from for around £400 off AC).

Can anyone point out where I am going wrong?

Ok, there are two reasons here.

A) The prices will be in US dollars, The UK market cannot buy on line due to distributor networks.

B) You cannot do the catch up with educational products. Realistically you are only allowed that product for 1 year with out upgrading to the full version. There are no subscriptions for the Educational products They are designed for final year students to complete course work. Sure we can sell them to any students however when you renew the subscription it will automatically upgrade you to the non educational edition.


The catch up event is designed for users who are currently a year or more outside their subscription, this gets them up to date as older versions of Wyg will soon be un supported.

Note to any reading this the offer is only open to Wysiwyg V 4 R1 onwards. Wyg 3.5 is not applicable and as I remember now not supported.

Thanks that has cleared that one up. I presume I will still be able to use my WYSIWYG dongle after my subscription has expired even though I won't be able to get updates?

Yep, you can still use your dongle after the subscription runs out. The only difference is you won't be able to get updates.
