fixture problem

hi all, I have some new fixtures that I am trying to patch into my desk. it says they can be run on 2,3,5 or 24 channels. they work on 5 channels but I wanted them on 24 and they wont respond when I set them in that mode. below is the information from Thommans site. I have a zero88 leapfrog 96 with the latest operating upgrade installed. any help would be appreciated.

What happens if you address them to 1 and try and run them off the faders, as if they were dimmer channels. Do you have control then?

You've been posting on the Zero88 Forum regards your PAR56 unit (to which I've just replied). Same advice goes here: have you got a fixture definition for this unit? If not, send a link to the manual to FixtureSupport@Zero88.com.

 

As David says above, getting it working on the generics faders is a start to know it's at least working.

I would recommend putting any new fixture onto faders on a manual desk to confirm the DMX channel information supplied by the manufacturer and to also confirm what mode you are running the fixture in.

In 24 Chan mode they're just 8 x simple RGB units, at 1, 4, 7 etc..... (or whatever start address you choose). Is this how you're trying to run them?

Thanks for the replies I will put one on the faders tomorrow and see what happens.
