NewTek TriCaster AV Console

Hi,

Just to say before, my knowledge of AV is VERY limited so this message might seem a tad un-educated... I apologise!

I've recently acquired, a custom made AV set up thing. Its in a custom set-up flight case and contains a Tricaster TCXD300, a NewTek LiveControl LC-11 and 2 viewsonic LCD displays.

Obviously it is designed to be a complete set-up that can be taken anywhere, put on a desk, the lid opened and ready to go.

I've managed to power it on and check over the system and everything is working with no faults at all and all the kit is in amazing condition.

However, I dont understand it and dont think I'll ever have a great need for it that'll make it worthwhile for me to spend my time learning how to use it.

Does anyone have any recommendations? Is it worth selling? I've done a bit of research and quickly added up it would have been a very expensive bit of kit when new, but have no idea what a re-sale value would be nowadays.

If so, how would one go about selling something like this? (I think it's too specialised for eBay and its too big to start shipping about)

Any help or suggestions would be brilliant

Well you could list in on BBList

I think you have a vision mixer / HD Recorder

http://www.bblist.co.uk/ It can be slow

but that is broadcast, this might also attract VJ types, not sure where they shop

You will need full history for the Tricaster, it will be asked for at sale

You have to re register it every time you update or change the HDD

ebay would be a great place - tricksters appear from time to time, and there is plenty of high end kit on there. You have a small production unit - and it's pretty useful. Conference people love them., but less you want to make programmes then it's perhaps sensible to just take the money! Don't forget Tv-bay - the pro video users selling magazine and site.
