Hi Gang,

Maybe someone else has picked this one up, but I've just found a flier from Sweeny Kincaid in my Inbox for this auction:

600 Lots of Stage and Lighting Effects and Associated Equipment

Might be interesting for some.

Can't see any labels as to whose kit is is/was though.

I would guess this is HSL selling on the majority of Bandit's stock.

An interesting selection of kit - Perhaps a little too early to see what the reserves are like, but certainly one to watch, and the buyers premium is a little less than the usual 15%.

I imagine LP will snap up much of it... I believe a similar auction of Sweeny Kincaid's is where their current stock of Source Four Revolutions came from - nice margins if you've got the means to buy them in the first place

Assuming, of course, that LP can actually find a customer willing to buy them at that price. It's the other overheads (like storage space for all this stock) that starts eating into an apparently fat profit margin...

If I read it right, lots of this didn't sell; is that an indication of the market at present, or just the reserve prices set?

I kept a curious eye on the auction, and there was little to no activity on a huge range of the lots. That said, I didn't watch it til the bitter end, but certainly late Thursday/early Friday it was very quiet...
