If anyone's interested in the background to Madonna's half-time show, this is quite interesting -

The links at the bottom of the article will take you to copy of the plan and some other interesting stuff. I'm sure someone can get half a GCSE out of it.

I wish there was info on the 2010 "The Who" performance, because that was just sweet.

What I would like to know is how they got it all on and off in time.
And made sure there weren't a couple of bolts left on the field....

XL Video give a fair amount on their involvement, but what were the fixtures around the outside of stadium ?

What controls the system? IE What links the whole lot together? Is it time code? What does the sound to Video / Sound to Pyro?

Where was the monitor engineer!

Nearly a Year on but here goes...

Tight being an understatement. Came across this little gem by accident. I love the way daddy explains the ins and outs to his brats children. Especially the ''Don't look what the beams are lighting, just look at the beams''
Some sweat must have been expelled when 1/3 of the stage refused to cooperate at one point but the speed and precision this lot is put together is absolutely amazing and just screams of months of planning, planning and then some.

Here's the whole set:

If somebody could ease mind mind and explain what is being pushed out from underneath the stage at 3.00 mins I would be ever so grateful.

The video effect at 09.43 absolutely blew me away.

And not to nitpick but do some of the colour blocks malfunction at 10:40? Unless they are also being used as video pixels for the twinkling stars?
Be carefull on who's toes you tread on the way up.
They'll be attached to the ass you'll have to kiss on the way down.
