DYNACORD POWER MATE 1000 PROTECT LED ON

Hi I have a DYNACORD POWERMATE 1000 with protect led on. Tested ouput stage no fault found there tested for voltage befor muting relays no voltage there the fuses are fine..
any clues why the protect led is on

It is not clear where you have tested...
1. presence of DC referent to Ground/chassis before output relay?
2. unbalance in output power rails
3. overtemperature sensors on heatsinks...
4. the difficult one: overload due to short on output
5. failure of "delay on" circuit
Just suggestions of usual protections which cause muting to be active.
It's surprising how an empty pocket is full of imagination!
