Any idea where I can get my hands on the cheapest spare LF drivers for OHM TRS115 drivers. I had an over excited DJ last week on an unprotected system (don't ask) which caused a beautiful burning smell. Crossovers seem ok, but loudspeakers sound like a telephone just now, with crunchy LF drivers on inspection.
I don't want to pay a huge amount for the drivers as it's not a well used system, but would like to have them in working order again. You can imagine how many results came up on google when I typed in OHM and LOUDSPEAKER in the same sentence. Thanks in advance. -------------------- |

Call Clive Clinton at OHM (01565654641) or look at the other contact details on their website.
Many of their drivers are manufactured by OHM themselves, so you need their replacement parts. Simon This post has been edited by Simon Lewis: 25 Sep 2008, 4:24 PM -------------------- Red Bull - takes away your wings

I agree with Simon, plus OHM genuine drivers are actually very reasonable in cost...so dont bother trying to cross reference them to a generic type.
Many OHM drivers are slightly weird sizes as well, meaning although you can get the same cone diameter, (in, say an Eminence) the shoulder around the basket is often too big to allow them to drop into the cabinet! Been there, done that. I suspect they're mostly made by Form Focus of Poland who are (correct me if I'm wrong) an OHM subsidiary.(???) -------------------- |

I suspect they're mostly made by Form Focus of Poland who are (correct me if I'm wrong) an OHM subsidiary.(???) Certainly some of their HF units were made by Form Focus, and although I never fully confirmed the business relationship, the OHM directors (one who has now passed away) were Polish... I put two and two together! Larger compression drivers came from BMS(?) I believe that they do manufacture some of the cone drivers in Knutsford (many of which have plastic "frames" - or at least they did when I was last there). -------------------- Red Bull - takes away your wings
