AV Events Technician

Full-time: contract

Salary: £19,000 - £21,000 per annum + OT

Location: Crawley, West Sussex

Due to continued growth, AvensysLive is looking for a full time, experienced AV Events Technician to join its busy live events team at our operations base in Crawley.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with an established AV hire and events team delivering a range of quality event production services to a broad client base.

 

 

Job OverviewYou'll be responsible for preparing, delivering, setting-up, operating and removing a range of audio-visual equipment for a range of events including conferences,

roadshows, awards & dinners, outdoor events. As part of a friendly and supportive team, you will also help in the day-to-day running of the warehouse, and the delivery of hires to local corporate and venue clients.

 

Skills/Experience Required:

Minimum 2 year's relevant industry experience, setting up & operating a range audio, sound projection & video equipment

A good understanding and genuine interest in Audio Visual event technology

Excellent communication skills; must be confident to liaise with colleagues and clients

Must be confident to act as Team Lead on site

Positive, happy and can-do attitude

Comfortable working as a member of a team and taking instruction from senior colleagues

General IT knowledge - to include good working knowledge of PowerPoint

Excellent attention to detail

Be able to follow instruction, as well as use own initiative working to tight deadlines and operating in a fast pace and demanding environment

Be willing and able to learn on the job, as well as through structured training

Develop/maintain an AV area of special interest; ideally in video/projection technology

Work safely and tidily when under pressure

Must have the capability to lift and carry AV equipment and staging from vans to venues

Ability to work long hours on events and in busy periods when required

Full, clean, UK driving licence is essential

Fluent spoken and written English

 

All applicants must be eligible to work in the UK

Standard working hours 08.30 till 18.00 Monday to Friday.

 

Due to the nature of the role and industry, we require our team to be flexible with working hours; this includes early starts/late finishes,

working weekends and possible overnight stays away from home. We operate a generous overtime and TOIL policy for additional hours worked.
