MrBoomal
Very simple. Only need 42 Top hats. Anyone know of such a large amount anywhere, before I start contacting the usuals. ? Ta.
top-cat
I was about to ask for what type of lantern, then I realised it was the wardrobe forum
the kid
What quality ? There are some pretty good "budget" ones out there if you look, they might not have the weight and EXACT look but are still reasonable. If its off season a suit hire might have enough and can do a deal with you.
Jivemaster
Does Carshalton pantomime company still have props for hire? They used to have a full chorus of top hat and tails. Ask for contacts at Secombe centre Sutton.
kerry davies
I think the only place I ever saw that many in one place was Moss Bros in Covent Garden which had Fahsands.
alistermorton
I heard last night that Carshalton Pantomime is closing down.

It's just for one song in a little show. three quid each would be fine. The ebay sellers must buy them from somewhere. I was about to ask for what type of lantern, then I realised it was the wardrobe forum That's exactly what I said when I was asked for 42 top hats. kerry davies
The ebay sellers must buy them from somewhere. I refer you to my earlier post. Most second hand ones come out of the hire trade as bulk clear-outs of old stock during replenishment. I used to buy damaged tail coats and morning coats for the fire shows as disposable items of "costume" because the really old ones were serge (flameproof). Black spray or die and lots of mess and these might work?
Ynot
How about these at £2.19 each plus carriage...? http://www.ebay.co.u...=item540b1b6708 Not quite trad top hat, but close enough?Depends on the routine I suppose... Or this one looks a bit more topper-ish... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Black-Top-Topper-Hat-Magic-Wand-Magician-White-Gloves-Magic-Set-Fancy-Dress-/321243322443?pt=Adult_Fancy_Dress_UK&var=&hash=item4acb98184b (Select without the gloves/wand for £2.40)
