  1. Excellent, thank you! I shall try that asap and let you know.
  2. We have a NEC MT850 in excellent working order, but now want to swap the 112mm lens back to the original. This is not a quick-change, user-friendly option, but must involve getting into the projector, which is not an obvious process. Does anyone have any guidance, or know of any firms in the Manchester/W Yorkshire area who might have the back knowledge of how to do this, please?
  3. I've now heard from Altair, who simply say the unit is obsolete and the driver is not available. Is there anyone out there with an EB200 who is able to access it on a PC or other machine? If so, would you be prepared to share the software/driver, please?
  4. I've inherited an EB200 unit, but can't get it to pair with anything. I've carefully followed the Unpair instructions in the manual, but no joy. When pressed, the Pair light just keeps blinking steadily. Any thoughts, please? Altair aren't replying. Is special software required to investigate? The manual mentions linking to a PC through the USB connector. Any help appreciated.
  5. We installed a new, fully dimmable LED houselight system in our 160 seater community theatre 3 years ago, and we're very satisfied with it. It's a competitor to GDS, from a small UK firm: Innovation LED (website innovationleduk.com). I've not been in contact with them since before the pandemic started, so I really hope they've survived. Certainly their website appears to be maintained.
  6. Thank you all for your replies. Advice much appreciated.
  7. Our amateur group has aquired 2 NEC NP1000 projectors, both with low mileage lamps. The first has a good light output but always shows a blue band across the top 10?% of the screen. The second has good colour rendition but the overall light output is too low to be useful. I've tried swapping the 2 lamps over, but no change in either case. I should be most grateful if anyone could suggest a way forward. Any ideas as to possible causes? If so, could a mechanically-competent person strip down and repair, and where would he get the guidance to do so? (Have found one video on Youtube, but winced at the methods used and the shirt tail / teatowel used to clean optics). Is there somone accessible from Manchester who might do it - and if so, is the cost likely to be worth it? Any advice gratefully received.
  8. We seem to have a fair quantity of unused lamps for old Strand lanterns - floods, battens etc. Are there likely to be any takers? (Before I take the time to blow the dust off the wrappings and list them?)Presumably for collection - NE side of Manchester or W Yorkshire.
