spotblaster
I am struggling with not being able to find the familiar "Replace (0), Merge into cue (1) , Merge cue only (2) etc option in recent versions of MagicQ. It used to pop up when choosing to record to an existing cue and now it doesn't appear! I can get round it but would rather not have to! The most recent version I can find it functioning in is v1.7.2. Copying the settings to more recent versions (v1.7.3.8, v1.7.4.3) stubbonly refuses to restore the function. Is there a new way of doing this that I cannot find? Any clues would be appreciated or it's back to v1.7.2 tomorrow! Many Thanks Spotblaster
Crash_Override
Hi, I have 1.7.3.8 on my PC and it offers me those options when I try to record to existing cue.
J Pearce
There's an option in settings to select whether the desk asks or selects a default. Check that setting, and perhaps change it then change it back.

spotblaster
I am struggling here! The "show record options" toggles the long bar that starts "rec merge, rec remove" etc. I cannot find the settings option referred to concerning defaults! It's getting late. Thank you for your help. Shez
Shift + Rec always brings up those options if that's any use?
spotblaster
Update. The missing function returned after a New Show>Import Show>Import Settings cycle. Worked on all versions of software but the function mysteriously disappeared halfway through the evening... Power cycle and back it came! The only problem with the above was that I lost my Visualiser patch. It's baffling me but I am guessing the show file may have been corrupted somewhere along the way. Clean slate next time! Can anyone explain what the relatively new .xhw file is for that gets saved with the .shw file. Thank you for your interest. Spotblaster
