IME much depends on what "live vocals" means. If it's a rock band on wedges, or in a room that requires a lot of system gain to fill it, all of the better sounding mics are going to have lots of problems (I've not tried the PR35, but have used the PR22, VX10, KMS105, AE5400, and a few others perhaps). If it's a situation in which the good mics will actually work (low monitor levels, not much room spill onto the stage), an AT4050 will work and will sound much better than the others - even the AE5400. I'd try to get ahold of a PR35 and an E935 and pick a favorite. Then see if any of the 'better' mics will work for you.
