  1. Hi there Thanx for your offer - this would work great, however, I have decided I am going down the arduino micro controller route but thanks anyway
  2. Thanx for the offer - this would have been the answer - however I am going the Arduino way - but thank you Hi Tony I think this would be the best option and I am also going to use this method for a 4 channel cue station control system. It is the more flexible option and use wireless DMX to connect it all up. Thanks very much for your input - I now need to blow the dust of my soldering iron and brush up on Arduino sketches. B-)
  3. Can I just mention * He is not likely to want to pay more than £50 * I have a DMX Signal sender that I would attach to this DMX switch if I can find one cheaply. * He is thinking of doing this in his other bar aswell, again, completely separate from anything or any other DMX setup But thanks for everybody's ideas - great lateral thinking chaps :¬) Small DMX controller with a strip of white leds
  4. . Yes - good one, too expensive for him unfortunately - but thanx for your reply Good point
  5. Hi all, I require a switch for a DMX fixture set. I dont want or need a controller or a desk with lots of faders and sliders. I have a bar owner that just wants a standard switch (just like a light switch). He then wants to switch this on and 6 DMX fixtures to light up (all on addr-1) around his pub. Nothing else flashy. No room for growth. Nothing else at all. Simple I say - I will just take a look around ebay or aliexpress etc for a small printed circuit - there has to be one - right? HOWEVER, I dont think anybody in this universe that makes one! All it needs to do is to send 100% signal to DMX addr1 - plain and simple. Am I missing something? I can't find anything that sends a DMX signal except for wireless senders or small DMX desks/controllers. Please help guys I think I am going crazy. Thank you very much.
  6. (Sorry if this has been discussed before - I have looked through the list but can't find any ref) Picture available as at 13/12/19 but not sure for how long Hi, has anyone looked into these new(!) Chinese 1024-channel DMX lighting controllers yet please? They do not have a manufacture/model/make name so it is difficult to investigate. As at 13th Dec 2019 they are approx £350 via ebay and cheaper via aliexpress. They can control 96 lights over 1024 DMX channels (2 universes). From what I have gained so far is that they are more of a moving-head show controller rather than a theatre-stage style controller but I am not 100%. Here is the ebay link (as at 13/12/19) Thanks
  7. I have QLC+ (Q Light Controller plus) working on well on a Linux laptop with a £35 dongle labeled DimTech (*) which uses open source software. Worked straight out of the box. (*) TITLE = DimTech USB to DMX Stage Lighting USB-DMX DMX512 Dimmer open Enttec Controller (**) As at Friday 13th Dec 2019 this ebay listing is the one I bought from ... EBAY LINK I have searched for the solution myself and I am in the same situ. I have a Jester 48 which works really well (48 chanels max), however I am now finding, with multi chanel LED fixtures, I am running out of channels really quickly, so I might go down the QLC+ on Linux route. Good luck
