The KV2 stuff really needs to be heard, we mainly use EX6 powered boxes for our conference rig due to its small size excellent coverage with a wide 100 x 100 degree dispersion and the fact they are great against feedback making your engineers life so much easier.
The EX10's or EX12 are great boxes too.

I can arrange a free no obligation demo for you and as for number of speakers with KV2 you need far less boxes than with other manufacturers.

All my freelance engineers when they first use our stuff always ask for more boxes until they fire it up.

Ricky

I totally agree Ricky!!!

Sorry to drag up an old thread but heard the KV2 stuff for the first time recently and was gob smacked.
I heard some EX's and the unbelievable VHD system.
Some of the best kit I've heard in years.

Your going to want something fully hornloaded to cope with 1000 people. Id stay clear of HK purely for keeping to riders.

Really Jace?

In my experince yeah hornloaded especially on the low mid / mid sections for crowds of this size. 1000 people is a pretty big crowd to cover inside or out.

I personally quite like the sound of both the HK active and passive systems but they do not seem to apear on riders?

Have a serious look at the OHM kit, the TRS range might just be in budget.I'm in the midlands you are welcome to have a listen, Ohm are based near Manchester.

Another vote for the ohm trs range was just about to put that out there but got beaten to it ! If you want a listen I'm sure hsl in Newcastle under Lyme will sort you out they stock a lot of ohm equipment and are a distributor of there kit around the midlands.

I went for the Martin H3+/S218 system. Also went for Macrotech 5000i amps to power both this system and my PS10R2 system.

there's a nice 3 box set of RCF TT stuff on Ebay http://www.ebay.co.u...9#ht_612wt_1348

I'd consider that plus the extra sub (when the guy selling it realises he's asking way too much cash for it right now....!)

But there's also a KV2 ES rig up on there as well, this would definitely fit the bill in my opinion: http://www.ebay.co.u...#ht_1449wt_1348

They use a KV2 ES System in the Sage Gateshead hall one which I was just listening to Alfie Boe & an orchestra on saturday and though it is a little forward on the high end it's still a great piece of kit.

also, I've done an A/B with my (not so) big rig of 4 x DB technologies DVA S09 subs and a pair of RCF TT25a's vs an HK audio projector rig and I think the Projector was very poor, sounding thinner than it should for the size. The sound seemed to be trapped inside the speakers....
