  1. A few blue room members created their own system for this, see the threads Here and Here
  2. Cheers that was roughly what I was intending but just wanted to check I hadn't missed something obvious
  3. I've been trying to find a circuit symbol for SPDT push switch where both outputs are NO (center off double reactive). I've tried and failed with Google possibly because I'm searching for the wrong thing, given they are fairly easy to buy I assume there is a standard symbol for them that someone can point me at before I make up my own!
  4. This has its own issues where I work Accounts Receivable would reject this before it got to someone who could approve an invoice for payment. Agreement in advance is probably the only real protection becuase I suspect in reality without that the big company with the in house legal team will genrally suffer less even if they don't actually win the "battle of the forms"
  5. That wasn't my understanding as later on in the document it says terms and conditions printed on invoices are unlikely to form part of the contract and the wider section implies the invoice won't help as it would be after the service was provided. I think this is probably the major takeaway from this. Especially if your a small business dealing with a larger one who are likely to have an in house commercial or legal team that's likely all over this stuff.
  6. Unfortunately the PO you recived would be seen as a counter offer and is likely to have a very similar clause. In the battle of the forms the last circulated normally wins. More detail here because as always with the law there are edge cases.
  7. I'm still really impressed with mine, will take may laptop a bunch of hardback books and still have room for overnight stuff and some odd and ends. I did end up buying a chest strap for it as I found it needed one when full.
  8. Not just that telling them that you want to work while in the country might raise some questions about tax and if you have the correct visa (not sure exactly what the status is in the EU for this)
  9. Even assuming you find work as Tom says you might be able to, your full time employer may take a dim view of you do so regularly. Most contracts will require you to declare outside work to ensure a) a lack of conflict of interest and b) to ensure compliance with the working times directive. If your doing a 37-40 hour week and then doing another 2-3 hours every evening it's not that unlikely that the tiredness will start to impact your performance and or safety so think carefully about this route.
  10. I use homeassitant and its great for what it is a home automation tool. I also have used a number of different smart lamps, WiFi, zigbee, zwave and proprietary interfaces and one thing I would say is common with all of them is sometimes they choose not to respond or respond slowly. If this effect is an added bonus then by all means use kit aimed at the home automation market. If its critical to the installation then I'd seriously suggest looking at using something controlled with DMX or wired back to some sort of custom controller.
  11. Pretty sure it's the xbox game bar overlay which allows you to screenshot and interact with some chat services etc.
  12. That was really interesting to watch. I was supprised at the lack of concrete, does anyone know if that was because this was a demo or if telephone poles arent normally concreted into place? (sorry for the derail)
  13. Based on your question and the subsequent recommendations I got one too and agree its very easy to over load. However I am impressed at its stability even when it has an odd weight distribution which makes setting down much easier than previous bags I've had.
  14. Fixed link. I can't edit on mobile https://www.theregister.com/2021/09/30/lets_encrypt_xero_slack_outages/
  15. It's possible that it's part of https://www.theregister.com/2021/0 this issue. Might be worth checking that you have all your Windows updates.
