X32 Midi from Go Button

Hi All

So for a while now I have had my X32 and Qlab talking to each other using Midi perfectly fine. Using the assignable buttons I can Go, Panic All, Select next/previous cue etc perfectly fine and using Midi cues in qlab I can mute/unmute channels and recall snippets etc...

But... I do miss having all my shortcuts on the assignable buttons that I am now using to send Midi Pushes...

What I don't do is use the X32 show control at all and have never used the Go, Undo, Prev and Next buttons on the console..... And those names seem to fit quite well with what I'm doing within qlab..

So, my question to the group.... Is does anybody know of a way to make these buttons trigger qlab, freeing up the assignable buttons for console usage?

Using an app on my laptop to report all midi data received I have discovered that if I Go on a cue on the X32 it sends a midi CC message with the number of the cue triggered and using some work around in Qlab I can fire the Go's using this, but where I'm struggling is the Undo, Prev and Next buttons.

I'm thinking I'm going to be out of luck but any ideas?

Nick

midi isn't my strong suite BUT I don't see why you can't do this with midi cues. if you set the console show control (under setup) to use cues then under the show/scenes tabs is a tab specifically for midi cues. because I don't have midi hooked up the next bit is a bit vague but as far can see with midi hooked up you should be able to load the command as a midi cue and load the cue to the show cues.

if you are a facebooker, look for the x32 professionals group - someone there will work with midi doing this daily, I'm sure.
