Camera A/V out to USB

Hi.

Is it possible to use a cable with a 35mm jack on one end and a USB end on the other for vision feed? I have a camera with an A/V output and would like to somehow get the live feed from the camera on a computer. Would this work and if so would I need to install drivers, or is there another option?

Thanks!

Thanks for your replies. I'll have a look at those devices, David.

Dave, how large do you suspect the time delay could be? Just a few seconds? It may be used for broadcasting as well as for displays/monitors.

Thanks again!

Yes just a few seconds but for instance if used as a show relay to the bar or backstage may be fine.As a relay to the wings or as a conductor's monitor it would be no use

I have done live camera mixes to projection with maybe a few frames (25 fps) but then seen it on my phone as a webcast, possibly 5 mins later.

I regularly walk through a room where the cctv is openly displayed as well as recorded. Its hard to walk through there because you know where your feet are but the screens are all different with their different latencies, well sub second, but irritating.

The only systems with so little latency that they suit the conductor to choir requirement are analog.
