  1. HDBT is great for point to point when you know you are unlikely to want to add additional Source or Display devices. HD over LAN and UHD over LAN are more flexible when you need to start adding additional Source or Display devices - you simply add in a managed or unmanaged network Switch and add additional Transmitter and Receiver devices. Both systems will easy pass over a 40M cable. We supply all three options from Octava Inc. the HD over LAN system is very costs effective, https://octavainc.com/hdmi-over-ip-hdlan-poe/ Joe
  2. Digital Signage content management - look at Screenly OS running on a couple of Raspberry Pi, very low cost and simple to use system; I have a bunch of them running at my local Community Centre. There is also a paid version of Screenly with additional functionality. Displays - where possible I would go with a Pro Display with in built timer and or the ability to control remotely, look around there are thousands being replaced every day from corporate installs, I have yet to purchase one for any of the Community projects I work on. HDMI Distribution - HD or UHD over LAN would be my preference it is more robust than long HDMI cables, esp. if 'others' get near the kit! Joe
  3. Worth ensuring the basics are covered - https://help.elgato.com/hc/en-us/articles/360041266011-Cam-Link-4K-Setup-Sony-A6000-for-Live-Streaming Joe
  4. May be worth a call - https://www.optoma-projector-repairs.co.uk Joe
  5. Don't use TV's - most Pro Displays will allow you to 'loop' an Input to an Output and simply daisy chain the two displays. Joe
  6. Always best to list the make and model number of the devices you are looking to connect and as mentioned above spec the distance between the Camera and the Display device - in this instance I would also want to know how the camera was being used (Hand held, Tripod etc) and is the camera feed also having to be recorded. Joe
  7. Are you wanting to send a live video feed or play back from a pre recorded Source? If it is the latter place the Source close to the Display and control the Source from a distance - may even be simpler to bring the audio back to you over a wireless connection? Joe
  8. 'What platform do you use to stream on?' - that bit we are still working on. The advantage of Eventbrite is that we will not be tied to just one streaming platform. We will be running a mix of online Clubs, Classes and Events where we, the Community Centre' are the Organiser and other events where we will facilitate so we may end up with a mix of streaming platforms to suit the customers. Joe
  9. I would be tempted to suggest you keep ticketing and streaming as stand alone to give you more flexibility over choice of streaming platform - for ticketing we find Eventbrite works very well and brings a decent level of 'native' business to us (Community Centre) via the inbuilt advertising Eventbrite undertake to existing Eventbrite users, be it geographical or by interest. https://www.eventbrite.com/support/articles/en_US/Multi_Group_How_To/how-to-set-up-an-online-only-event Joe
  10. As others suggest you will likely need to 'deal' with HDCP before you put the signal into the Mixer/Switcher - most of the HDFury range will give you that option, enabling it is not always; 'out of the box' so if you are testing it you will need to know the work arounds! Joe
  11. Have a look at the Epson Lightscene EV-100 Laser projector - it has a lot of great features for folk designing retail, museum and interactive spaces, one of our clients has a couple projecting interactive 'spiders' in a crazy golf installation! Price is approx £2K (Inc VAT). https://www.epson.co.uk/verticals/business-projectors/ev-100series Joe
  12. Does the content you are display have to be 'in sync' with audio or a performance - as earlier replies highlight that is often where you have issues in a 'live' scenario. Extending HDMI over CAT is relatively straightforward with options built around HDBT and 'over LAN' - though ideally both solutions have a stand-alone wired network which is not carrying conventional 'data' traffic. Are your Display devices in fixed locations? Joe
  13. As above - What is the use and what devices are you planning to connect? Joe
  14. I'll get some figures for latency both Point to Point and via a Switch - we can always sort you out a demo pair to try out. Price wise we ought to be pretty competitive against other HD over LAN solutions and very competitive against HDBT - esp. on larger systems. Joe
