TECHNICIAN – MOVING LIGHTS

THE COMPANY

 

Our client is an independent lighting, video and rigging hire company! Established for over 25 years they take pride in their ever growing equipment catalogue and services delivered to clients.

 

THE ROLE

 

Due to their on going success, they are now looking for an experienced Technician where you will be getting involved in testing, troubleshooting, component level repair and updating lighting equipment used in the entertainment industry including moving lights, LEDs, consoles and lighting control systems

 

Key responsibilities will include:

 

• Soldering and de-soldering parts from a printed circuit board

• Inspect and maintain automated lighting equipment and systems including consoles; fixtures, updates, maintenance and inspection records as directed

• Maintain a safe working environment at all times by adhering to all established safety policies and procedures

• Maintain a flexible schedule for work calls, special events, training, and on-call maintenance

• Ensure equipment, supplies and parts are stocked in sufficient quantity to facilitate the on-going needs of the Lighting Department

 

THE CANDIDATE

 

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of lighting specifications, the principles of AC/DC electricity, motion control, digital communications
