  1. Thanks all for your help and suggestions on this. The Alps one with the 28.8 shaft looks like a good bet. BTW: I tried the cheap and the expensive cough medicine but neither helped. Speaking of Seck: I have a first generation Soundcraft Spirit 16/3 that I think was a rebadged Seck. It had a very odd EQ that boosted the HF when cut the LF. Back to my why don't Behringer sell spares directly question. Is this the same issue if you need spares for Lab Gruppen, Midas, KT, etc?
  2. Off the board the resistance of the track measures 87K ohm. With the wiper in the mid position the middle pin to the end terminals measures 54k + 46k (bear in mind the pot is extremely crunchy which is why I need to replace it) I would say it's probably a linear taper. From the PCB to the top of the shaft measures 30.8mm. the body of the pot has an 11x11mm footprint approx. The 3 terminals are on 2.5mm centers. The only number on the pot is 48104VH (and yes I've Googled it..) Going back to my original question. Why doesn't Behringer/Musicgroup have a parts department for bits like this?
  3. Hi all, A simple question: Where is the best place to source a replacement input pot for a Behringer B208D speaker? The pot has 3 terminals (+2 solder fixing lugs) and on the board, measures around 80KΩ, which probably means it's an 100K pot. Many thanks. Dan
  4. Hi All, I'm looking at buying a Yamaha DM3 and have a few questions for the BR: 1. I'm aming to use the mixer at the stage end and a PC laptop at FOH. Is there a dedicated application to do this or is it a case of logging into a web app inside the mixer? If it's the former what is the name of the application? 2. I'll be migrating from a Behringer XR18. What are the major differences between the two? e.g. on the XR18 I find the RTA - spectral display really usefull. Is there anything similar on the DM3? also on the XR18 you use 4 FX's at the same time. Is this a posibillity on the DM3? Many thanks to all. Dan
  5. It doesn't work relyably with the 4.7K but does with a 1K2 and draws just under a 1mA on that leg.
  6. Many thanks for all your suggestions and advise. As the PIR has a 3.5V regulator on board it will work at 12V without issue so I've omitted the 7805 Taking inspiration from TMH's circuit, I'm driving the base directly with the PIR O/P and it seems to work well. I've added 1N7001 across the motor.
  7. Hi All, I realise that this is not the right forum but am looking for recomendations for an electronics forum that would help me design a small single transistor circuit. The background is I have a PIR sensor module that runs on 6V and I'd like to control a small 12V 250mA DC motor with it. The HC-SR501 sensor outputs approx 2.5V when triggered and I'd like to control the motor with something like a TIP120 (as I have a few to hand) I'm looking for an electronics forum that could design this circuit for me. Any recomendations? Many thanks. Dan
  8. Hi All, I have a elderly Mackie SRM350 on the bench with a damaged combo socket. The socket is branded Neutrik and looking at the solder side of the PCB I can count 10 pins. This is a straight and not a 90 degree version. Can anyone help me with a Neutrik part number and UK supplier? Many thanks. Dan
  9. Sorry for the delay. Yes I did. The centres are 3.96mm.
  10. Hi All, I am constantly repairing PCB's that have pin and socket connectors that I'd like to identify. The pictures show a typical example. The pins, which are square in section, measure 1.15mm in diameter. What I'm looking for is a small kit of female crimps, crimp housings as well as male versions. I have a similar kit of what I think are generally referred to as 'Dupont' connectors and are typically used with Arduino's, etc. The connectors I'm looking for are substantially larger. Many thanks.
  11. As far as I know, the screens are mounted on the back of a truck divided: Left=32, Right=32, Back=12 arrays. I have no idea of the IP rating.
  12. Before I knew about the use case this chap had ordered a 32A-3P to 32A single phase outlets with MCB protection - with no RCD or RCBO in the distro. He has 3x 32A plug to PowerCon sockets jumpers and is using these to power his 76 screen off the generator. He has them divided into Left, Right & Rear arrays and from what he was telling me, he was using a phase for each. I am remote from the chap and haven't seen the actual connection of the 76 screens. He is not technical and I've been explaining about balancing phases to not put undue stress on the gen and neutral line. He want's to buy more distros and I'm thinking a better way forward would be to 2x (or poss more) PowerCon outlets per phase. In that way it would be much easier for him to split the screens into more managable groups of e.g. 5 or 6. Any thoughts?
  13. I think the power conectors are PowerCon clones. Any thoughts on the inrush issue?
