Position: Warehouse Manager


Based: E17
Times: 9am-6pm

Salary: £20,000- £25,000 dependant on experience.

· planning and monitoring the storage, delivery and dispatch of orders

· ensuring equipment is stored properly and safely

· overseeing stock control and processing orders

· ensuring quality, delivery budget and environmental objectives are met

· fulfilling objectives and directions from the operation's headquarters

· coordinating the use of automated and computerised systems

· responding to and dealing with customer communication by email, fax and telephone

· keeping stock control systems up to date

· planning future capacity requirements

· organising crew to help in the warehouse when needed

· motivating, organising and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met

· producing regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis

· briefing team leaders on a daily basis

· liaising with customers, suppliers and transport companies

· maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment

overseeing the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment

· ensuring paperwork is completed for every job

· managing timesheets

· opening and locking the warehouse each day

· Maintain housekeeping of warehouse and surrounding area

· Issue Inventory reports, IN/OUT status reports, dead stock reports, goods age reports, consumables reports, manpower status reports to Logistics Manager

· Implement cost reductions in all aspects of warehouse transactions and activities

· Improvement & development of warehouse

· promote motivation among staff to strive for an efficient and effective warehouse
