munamunamike
Hello my friends. I am fairly new to this world, so thought I would ask for some info before I get stuck in, I Lent my speakers out on the weekend, x2 JBL M350s And x2 m350 bassbins. Both tweeters have been blown, and have found replacements for £89 eachm I shouldnt have a problem fitting those. But one of the mid highs were blown aswell, and I think I have the right part number I looked at the pdf file for the speaker and got the part number form there. I just wondered if there is a guide to fitting replacement speakers in that model. Also is the mid high unit one piece, I mean they dont sell the diapragms seperately, cos I dont know what part of the mid high has gone I just know that it now sound sh1t... Many thanks in advance MIke
TonyMitchell
Mike They are separate parts: the High Freq driver is Part No. 2416Hthe Diaphragm replacement part no. D8R2416the Horn Part No. is 2371 The difficulty you may have is physically releasing the old HF driver from the horn, which you will need to do to either access the diaphragm or fit a new HF driver. If you remove both handles you will gain reasonable access to the top of the cabinet, don't bother removing the top cover and grille unless you need to remove the horn hope this helps Tony
munamunamike
Thanks for the reply tony, So the horn has 3 parts? How do I know if its the driver or the diaphragm that has gone? Looking like I mite have to get someone to look et them for me, I assume that the mid high is two parts aswell then? Speaker Low Frequency M252-8Cone Replacement C8R M252 If this is the case how do I tell what has actually blown? Thanks tony your a life saver m8 Mike C8R M252
munamunamike
bump Rite so have sorted the horns. Now I need to replace the speaker in the same box. I was just wondering if the cone/basket/diaphragm was all one piece. Looking at the spcs sheet it looks that way but just wanted to check before I spunk the cash! Many thanks in advance MIkehello, hi from FRANCE, I've JBL M350MK2 since 1994 and certainly it's the best cabinets I've never had for my rythm'n blues band. The problem with this cabinets is the treble (dr 2417 AND NOT DR2416 or DR2416 on the first M350 because after they change for M350 MK2) and each 3 years I change one tweeter and still don't know the reason ! Mark Bailey from HARMAN UK JBL a great engineer don't understand so ! YES we send power from CROWN MT 1200 and QSC PLX3002 great power amp, and not from Inkel or other amp unknown. Best regard
