musht
Toolboxes come up a lot , this one on Indiegogo has some intersting ideas https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/coolbox-the-world-s-smartest-toolbox--3 USB charging and onboard lighing are handy, bluetooth speaker an interesting addotion, built in mains extension bit more dubious of. Yorkie
It looks quite wide could be tricky to carry around, how long till the USB sockets fill up with dust? can you stand on it, what happens if you throw the tools in randomly rather than stacking them in order as per the demonstration, does the whiteboard get scratched? Can it cope with getting wet?
bigclive
It looks like an invitation to tool-thieves. For anyone touring about, the ideal toolbox is the one that is lightest (including necessary tools). One long trip with an overloaded toolkit will make you realise the benefits of travelling light. boatman
Bah humbug. It doesn't have a refrigerated space for the tinnies!
Stuart91
Bah humbug. It doesn't have a refrigerated space for the tinnies! What you need, then, is something like this: http://i57.tinypic.com/2qn5ajc.jpg Yes, that's a fridge in the bottom left hand corner, and a set of speakers fitted in the tray at the top. I spotted it in a hardware store in the USA a few years ago. I could see the attraction of something like this if you are working on one site for days on end, but it's not exactly portable. Jivemaster
Most importantly the toolbox needs to suit the task. A flightcase could travel in a tour truck but the day you need to go by tube to the job something else would be better.
musht
Yes, that's a fridge in the bottom left hand corner, and a set of speakers fitted in the tray at the top. Thats the Lite Edition ;-) You want the fully loaded Kobalt 53" 18-Drawer with built in fridge and Pioneer CD/MP3 payer , rotisserie and Satellite TV (some features may not be factory fitted) http://i27.tinypic.com/2m6riuv.jpg About 1650 USD or about same price as a small rubber drawer liner for a Snap-On box... Roderick
So if I understand it correctly, you'll get a smallish toolbox with a couple of speakers and a clock for US$189 + US$99 shipping?Sounds like a wise investment....

abbotsmike
Interesting idea, but not convinced on the toughness of it. Also water/dustproofing? That 20V 5Ah Li-Po isn't going to power an inverter to run mains power tools for long either!!
kerry davies
Does oodles of stuff but none of it well? Sure it isn't marketed by Scotcade?
Andrew Edwards
I thought this was a joke at first. Those two guys looked like they were wearing hipster costumes. Certainly carries a hipster price tag...
