I had a great business plan ... I was going to build bungalows for Snow White's seven dwarfs...
However, there was just one tiny flaw .............

Depends why you want it. For general enquiries you probably want 02078 512711 but I suspect that would be easy enough to find from their website or the phone book...

Ynot - I don't quite see why someone would not give out the number for the Stage Door of the Apollo Victoria? It's not like its restricted information or anything.

If you have a copy of contacts, or like Ike said just look in the phone book.

To be fair that number isn't exactly stage door but is rather just a general enquiries number. I wouldn't give out the stage door number without good reason in the same way I wouldn't start giving out peoples extension numbers or expect them to give out mine.

Ok thanks guys,
I wouldnt have expected it to be secret or anything, but this seemed the easiest way of finding out:)
will try the enquiries no. above.

Restricted? Quite possibly.
Not for serious security reasons, but to be honest, the number for the stage door of a large theatre is probably not going to be something that's published either on their web site or in the phone book.
Like any large business, they'll have a main contact number (as Ike has posted), through which you MAY get transferred to the variety of extensions about the building, but that depends on who you are, what you want and whether you answer the 'receptionist's' questions correctly - no difference to Joe Bloggs Ltd down the street.

I would imagine that (whilst not a sceret as such), the stage door extension/direct dial-in would be closely guarded as that's going to be the route in/out for artistes (quite possibly celebrities) and having that as an 'in' could be privileged info for various obvious reasons...

Mind if I ask why you want the contact?

I must admit I have wondered why the OP asked the question.

But the reason I posted, it was not that long ago that in the White Light catalogue (still got one in my drawer for that handy tech data) they used to list all the stage door numbers.

See here for the reference guide download. The Stage Door, Management and Fax numbers for venues around the country and West End are listed, but not in the sections available for download. There's a phone number and email click to request a printed version, though.

Hi all, thanks for posting
Just to clear up the reason I asked was on behalf of Warwick University Tech Crew, who are organising a trip to see the show later this term, and having been offered back-stage tours of other London venues, such as Spamalot, we wondered if it would be possible for Wicked too. Its great to show our members what can be done and how these shows go on, in comparison to ours!
Thanks again
Rhys

For anyone interested this number does go straight through to the stage door of the Apollo Vicotria.
They were very helpful and not at all secretive or stand-off-ish as many of the posts here have suggested.
Thanks Ike for the above.

Rhys
