ryanm28
Can anyone advise me on how often and if it is required to treat auditorium drapes? We're a large theatre with elaborate drapes around 8 boxes along with a lot of door curtains. It's been queried if they should be treated every 4 years like the stage drapes and I haven't a clue! I've worked in theatres for 15 years and this is the first time I've even thought about the decorative drapes FOH. Hope somone out there is more clued up than me...! Brian
Can anyone advise me on how often and if it is required to treat auditorium drapes? It depends on what they are made of? Some drapes are Inherently Flame Retardant (IFR) and never need treating and some are Durably Flame Retardant (DFR) and need treating in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations. Tom
Build up of dust can be a hazard as it will burn even if the fabric it is on is flame retardant.
