  1. We use acetone to dissolve case label glue. Seems to be the only thing that shifts it - none of the usual glue cleaners work.
  2. The Panasonic NDI cameras aren't actually that good, in the world of NDI - they're only NDI|HX, which is H.264 compressed and higher latency compared to full fat NDI, which is higher bandwidth but lower latency. If one already has PTZ cameras then the BirdDog Flex converters pass the embedded NDI PTZ control back to the cameras, effectivly turning a non-NDI PTZ head into a full-fat NDI head for $399. BirdDog also make full NDI PTZ cameras (well, Bolin are the OEM, and BirdDog add the NDI magic) for less thatn the equivalent Panasonic. Not trying to sell them, just a satisfied user!
  3. I saw this earlier - it's something invented by NVIDIA, it runs on their top-end graphics cards and seems to be intended for cleaning up call audio for videoconferences etc. https://www.theverge.com/2020/4/21/21229508/nvidia-rtx-voice-background-noise-reduce-graphics-card-improve-call-quality
  4. I have a carbide 15/16" hole saw from this Starrett series that comes out to 23.8mm and that's pretty much a perfect fit for rearmounting D-size connectors. Use in a pillar drill! I find it gives neater, more consistent results than even a punch, and I've used it in plastic, aluminium and steel. They're inexpensive, too - about a tenner inc VAT.
  5. Having previously been involved in the club/DJ scene (but from our side!) and having spoken to and negotiated with tour managers and DJs themselves, a lot of the reason to spec the latest kit is because it's an easy way to hopefully guarantee it'll be new-ish, and in good working order.
  6. I'm keeping an eye on this thread with interest - I'd always previously assumed that there was a tiny lens cast into the top of the SMD5050 package, seeing as manufacturers can offer tape with different "beam angles" - which from experience are definitely real, rather than marketing! Although, conversely, 5+ years ago I was involved in an install in a bar in which some LED tape had resin slopped over it to offer some protection against the corrosive effects of coke et al and I don't recall the outputbeing effected...
  7. Desk cable tidies, depending on the size of your hooks?
  8. Does anyone have a spare beltpack PCB or 2? I want to make a custom AD903-equivalent - to interface Tecpro comms to normal noise in both directions and don't have a spare beltpack to dedicate to an XLR4 - 2x XLR3 cable. Thanks!
  9. Dear I want as questions about panasonic mx70 will you give me time so I can chat with you and share with you my problem regarding mx 70?
