Connector cleaning brushes

We use a “sonic scrubber” for cleaning all sorts of things. Never found the need to clean an XLR end but I dare say it would give it a good go!

Now... how to break it to the new technicians... apparently xlr cleaning is a thing...

I guess if you’ve had one trodden into some fine festival mud you could always pop the outer sleeves off (and into the dishwasher?!) leaving you with the plastic inners and pins to brush clean.

I wonder if an interdental brush might be useful for getting up tight receptacles?

Wouldn't it just push any loose dirt further down the socket?

Any more than actually mating the connector? I was thinking more of loosening dry mud so it could be tapped out.
