Thanks all. I do have a load of preset states (warm/cool washes, colour washes, movers to key spot positions, chase FX, house lights) on subs playbacks (FLX desk) so that bit is sorted, and the desk currently lives in a cupboard where it can be plugged in and operated via ZerOS Remote app so the 'all lights on now' scenario is already covered. I also already have DMX in points at FOH bleachers and FOH floor level (the 'pit') so there is flexibility. I was thinking more for having some control during a live performance, watching the talent via the camera, without moving the desk. I just can't make my peace with running a show via iPad! It looks like it's worth setting up, for the minimal cost of a camera and some connectors/wiring (plenty of old monitors kicking around in schools) and seeing how we get on. Would still be interested to hear if anyone has done exactly this. I think it would mainly be a change of mindset, e.g. in rehearsals not being able to bellow at the desk op but having to use comms properly. That's probably no bad thing!
