Job Title: Warehouse Stage and Set Assistant

 

 

Reporting to: Operations Manager

 

 

Location: Sterling Event Group, Unit 1B Ringway Trading Estate, Manchester M22 5LH.

 

 

Salary: £15,500 - £20,000 pa + overtime + benefits

 

 

 

Job Type: Permanent full time

We now have the opportunity for a warehouse stage & set assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with our Stage and Set Builder and the wider warehouse team under the leadership of our operations manager.

 

 

Duties:

 

  • Recovering of set flats
  • Construction/ preparation of set flat and bespoke items
  • Painting pieces of set
  • Organisation of the workshop equipment and consumable items
  • Checking in equipment returned from hire
  • Stock Control
  • Complying with the company's paperwork process
  • Complying with company health and safety procedures
  • Loading/ unloading of vans and trucks as required
  • Occasional work on site rigging / de rigging for events
  • Occasional deliveries / collections (Full UK driving license an advantage but not essential)

 

 

Required Skills:

 

  • General joinery skills along with other set construction techniques an advantage but not essential as training will be provided
  • Experience in the use and maintenance of power and air tools an advantage
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and solo under own initiative
  • Good time keeping
  • Ability to problem solve and to work to deadlines
  • High self-motivation
  • Flexibility and a can do attitude
  • Full UK Driving License an advantage but not essential
  • Forklift Truck License an advantage but not essential

 

Career Progression

 

Career progression within the company will be available as we develop our staging and set department.

 

 

Working Hours

 

Standard working hours would be 08.30 till 17.30 Monday to Friday however during busy periods the successful candidate may be required to work at weekend or occasionally night shifts to turn equipment round from event to event.

 

 

 

Holidays

 

28 days
