Have been asked to get a high gloss look from a steel deck stage, need to do on the cheap, has anyone done this, maybe put down hard board then eggshell black paint then floor shine polish. (16 foot by 24 foot approx) any idea's,????? show only on for a week.

Depends what's happening on it, but if you're not dancing on it or moving trucks about, Studiotak is pretty cost-effective.

How long have you got, between now and the time the floor is required to be used? This may affect what is used.

I'd avoid the floor polish. Matt Black emulsion, followed by one or two coats of Bona Mega Gloss Glaze is good for this. Flints sell it, and have some handy tips on how to use it to get a good finish. Drying time in my experience is overnight, but they recommend applying it quite thickly, so maybe allow longer?

If you're going to cover the decking, why not just use ordinary gloss. It'll chip with footwork, but lasts a reasonable time. It's cheaper than specialist paint, and you can always touch up overnight when it needs it?
