theshock602
Hello,Just wondering if anyone has a spare remote or any knowledge of a functional remote that would work with an old Jem Technohaze please?-James
timsabre
This has been discussed quite a lot here... you can find the threads using google site search. Unfortunately most of the links seem to have become unavailable. https://www.google.c...lue-room.org.uk The basic answer is, (a) Try contacting Jem Service (Martin Manufacturing) in Louth, they are very helpful if you can get past the corporate Martinness(b)best info from previous posts is1 Ground when Ready2 Ground3 + 16V DC4 Ground when Heating5 0-10V DC Control signal from remote to fog machine: 1.5V for heating (under automatic control of the fog machine) and 2 to 10V for fogging (higher voltage = higher pumping rate). Ready/Heat indicators: wire LEDs between pin 3 and pin 1 with a 2.2k series resistor for Ready light, and similarly between pin 3 and pin 4 for Heating light. To make the machine heat and fog a bit of messing about with resistors is needed:Connect a 470R resistor to pin 3 at one end and a 10K pot at the other end. Put a 1.5K resistor connected to pin 2 at the other end. Connect the wiper of the pot also to the 1.5K resistor via a switch. This will give you the 1.5V (ish) heat signal when the switch is off, and a variable voltage from 1.5V to 10V (ish) when it's on. +--pin3 |470R res |10K pot--+ |........| |......switch |........| +--------+---pin5 |1.5K res | +--pin2This will work for all recent Jem/Martin machines but the remote control pin numbers are different on some of them. It would be useful to put this info in the blue room wiki as it is asked quite often, but I can't work out how to insert a page with it on... can anyone enlighten me?
