Expert tutors who are themselves professional props makers will provide guest lectures and demonstrations, whilst core Scenehouse staff will support students through their own personal projects. Note that this course, which previously lasted a week has been extended to a fortnight. The course will include: Moulding and casting, techniques and materialsLife castingSculpting tools and materialsPolystyrene carvingworking with found objects and adapted componentsSimple mechanismsProp level carpentryadhesives, foams, rubbers, paints and other useful materialsA guide to the props-makers tool boxScenic carpentryCOSHH Participants will gain hands on experience with various materials culminating in a group built project.
